Unverified Media was started on August 9th, 2024, and significantly expanded the following month when I took ownership of Instagram accounts which I formerly ran for Plots, Inc., proceeding to rebrand them under Unverified.

As of August 2025, Unverified commands a combined following across eight accounts of over 20,000 accounts, with the largest account at Ohio State having over 11,513 followers. We have a 785GB proprietary content library as well to support operations, created and owned by us.

Nearly all content posted to Unverified is outright owned, while only the remaining small section being either transformatively memed into a uniquely derivative work, or being licensed to us by others. Unverified is also a major contributor of content onto Creative Commons uploaded by my own personal Wikimedia Commons account.
